FIFA backs IOC on prevention of sudden death in sport
LONDON, Dec 11 – FIFA is backing the IOC in its efforts to prevent the sudden death of athletes due to heart failure during competition, world soccer’s governing body said.
The IOC (International Olympic Committee) adopted on Friday the so-called “Lausanne Recommendations”, a report on sudden cardiovascular death in sport and ways of preventing it.
